ACTIVITY REPORT - ANTIRAGGING COMMITTEE-2020
As a part of sensitization program the XVIII batch students were sensitized on the proceedings of Anti Ragging Committee of KGNC. The program was conducted virtually through Zoom online platform on 19.11.2020.The student council member Mr.Naveen.R B.Sc IV Year explained the ill effects of ragging, the action taken by the Government against Ragging according to the UGC Act. He also emphasized that KGNC is absolutely a ragging free campus to the new batch of students. Mrs.S.Saranya Member secretary -Anti -Ragging Committee explained the importance of National Anti Ragging Toll free number and helpline email id . The students were insisted to fill in and sign the online affidavit under taking, both from students and parents.
ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE REPORT-2020
Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry 607 402 adopted the “Zero Tolerance” policy towards ragging and implemented measures to curb ragging in the Institute.. Awareness posters and banners were displayed in important areas and poster containing mobile numbers of the anti-ragging committee members and the National Helpline Number was also displayed. During the induction program the students had filled the anti-ragging affidavits and completed their anti-ragging online registration in the “www.antiragging.in” website.
Senior students of the institute were sensitized about the consequences of ragging and were shown videos and a short film titled “ Vidyal – The Dawn” depicting the menace of ragging. The committee insisted that campus is ragging free and the measures are being continued to enable the freshers to pursue their studies in a ragging-free environment.
