Walk-In-Interview for the Post of JUNIOR RESEARCH Fellow

Applications are invited for the following temporary position in a project as Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The Interview will be held in “Center for Animal Research, Training and Services” (CAReTS), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pillayarkuppam, Puducherry 607403, on November 4, 2019 at 10.AM

Project 1: “Establishment of an algorithm-assisted pattern analysis of behavioral changes during progression of fungal pathogenesis in animal model.

Essential Qualification:

Post graduate degree in life Science/ Basic Science/ Professional Courses/associated disciplines. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in laboratory animal handling and computer programming.

Project 2: “Development of Artificial Intelligence based platform for the early detection of congenital hypothyroidism by ultrasound imaging.

Essential Qualification:

Post graduate degree in life Science/ Basic Science/ Professional Courses/associated disciplines. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in clinical research and computer programming.

NOTE: The selected candidate will be given a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 15,000/- per month for the duration of the project. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their updated resume along with a cover letter to Prof. Balanehru Subramanian, Principle Investigator through email. Selected candidate will be encouraged to register Ph.D. in Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). Applicants should produce original documents at the time of interview for verification.Certificate verification will be done from 9.30 to 10.00 am. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Applications are invited for the following post(s) in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India sponsored project “Small Animal Research Facility For Preclinical Studies and Services”.   Appointments will initially be offered for the duration of the project period.

I:  Position: Senior Research Fellow  (Number of Posts: 01)

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Academic

a)  Post-Graduate Degree in Professional Course [OR]

b)  Post-Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Life Science, Materials     Science/Nanoscience and Technology etc.) with NET qualification. [OR]

c)  Graduate Degree in professional course with NET qualification.

  1. Minimum two years of research experience

Desirable:

Experience in toxicology/ pharmacology/ pathology/ molecular biology/ nanoscience/ Veterinary surgery/ handling of laboratory animals/mammalian cell culture technique.

Note:

  1. There will be an opportunity to pursue Ph.D. degree
  2. Applicants with very good academic career without NET qualification may also apply. However, their monthly emoluments will be lower as per DBT guidelines.

Consolidated monthly Emoluments for SRF: Rs.28,000 /- per month.

II: Position: Project Assistant, (No of Posts: 01)

Essential Qualifications: B.Sc in Life Sciences (Medical Lab Technician, Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and related disciplines).

Preferable:   -Candidates with M.Sc in any branch of Life Science

                         -Exposure to laboratory animal research

Age limit: Applicants should be below the age of 28 years (Relaxation of age limit would be done as per DBT guidelines).

Consolidated monthly emoluments for Lab Technician: Rs 15,000/-per month.
