The department of Psychiatry, MGMCRI, along with Centre for Health Professions Education, SBV conducted a two-day Faculty Development Programme on “Skills in Scientific Writing.”, on December 6th & 7th 2019, in the university campus. Eminent speakers comprising of editors of reputed journals, reviewers and authors of scientific papers from the national and international arena, delivered the scientific sessions. Around 43 delegates comprising junior-level faculty, PhD & MPhil students from Medical, Dental, Nursing, and Allied Health Science specialities attended the conference. The program comprised of two modules, a basic module and an advanced module which highlighted the different aspects of scientific writing. The participants were able to interact with the speakers and clarify their queries. The event concluded with feedback and valedictory session. Online reading materials were also provided to the participants before the programme and ppts of speakers were also sent after the workshop. The workshop was highly appreciated by the delegates and suggested for such workshops periodically.
