 On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on 31st May,2020 , Dr. Shivashankar proposed video rally to continue celebrating the importance of this day even during lockdown of the nation. A video rally was conducted on social networking platform using #throwtobacco #nssphdigidssbv. BDS students and interns of IGIDS participated actively by posting their videos online with regard to ill effects of tobacco. Students from other dental colleges also contributed their part through this rally. Along with this, three short films on creating awareness regarding tobacco namely Ini oru vidhi seivom; Second hand (smoking); and Fatal were released on YouTube by Bavithran, Aravind kumar and Kishore respectively. The students showed great interest in the program. The team PHD and students were applauded by the Principal for their efforts.
