The Department of Child Health Nursing conducted an Multidisciplinary Teaching Program on the theme of Anorectal malformation” on 27th February 2020 at Sushruta hall, KGNC. The aim of having a comprehensive coverage of the topic was made possible by the effective deliberations by Faculty members from various departments. The list of speakers were Dr.Jayanthi S Tutor, Dept.of Anatomy, MGMCRI Dr. Vasanthan Asst.Prof Dept.of Physiology, MGMCRI , Dr.Rathi Sharmila.R,Asso.Prof , Dept.of Paediatrics, MGMCRI Dr.Arun.M, Asst. Professor, Dept of General Surgery , MGMCRI , Mrs.Arumozhi.T Tutor,Nutrition and Deitetics, AHS-MGMCRI and Mrs.Saranay.S Asst.Prof, Dept.of Child Health Nursing. The audience being the B.Sc (N) III Year was benefited at large. The programme was very informative and students gained adequate information regarding all aspect of Anorectal malformation which was evaluated by the pre test and post test MCQ’s conducted in the program.In the pre test 64.10% of the students had inadequate knowledge and 35.8% had moderately adequate knowledge.In the post test 82.05% of the students had gained adequate knowledge.17.9% of the students had moderately adequate knowledge .
