NSS volunteers of KGNC Unit took part actively in the Awareness Rally organized by Puducherry State Health Mission in order to commemorate the “World No Tobacco day”- 2018 at Kamban Kalaiarangam, with the theme “Tobacco and Heart Disease”. Rally was flagged on by Honorable Director of Health & Family welfare services, Dr.K.V.Raman and Dr.Kalimuthu.T, Mission Director, National Health Mission felicitated the gathering. Volunteers hold the placards which carry the information on the link between tobacco and heart and other Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD), including stroke, which combined are the World’s leading causes of death, awareness on second-hand smoke. Volunteers motivated the public towards making a commitment to promote Heart Health by protecting People from hazardous lifestyle practices.
