Kalanjali Club has been functioning under the constituent SNA of KGNC. It ensures the provision of a platform for students to develop their artistic talents by giving opportunities to go beyond their academic quest and explore their creative and artistic sensibilities.

It aims to encourage student’s interest, participation, responsibility and leadership abilities in the ingenious field through a medium of creative art and culture and provides a platform to exhibit their potentials.

OBJECTIVES

• To allow students to express themselves while enlightening their peers.
• To provide the right platform for students to showcase their talents.
• To make the students confident and competitive.
• To provide a comforting vent for the students who are inclined to share their imagination and talents.
• To promote the integration of a cultural dimension into the college.
• To organize and conduct Intra- collegiate, Inter-collegiate, Inter-Zonal and IInter-University cultural competitions and to prepare them in widening their spectrum.
• To foster opportunities for students to learn about career opportunities in arts and other cultural activities.
• To inculcate team spirit and to account for the overall personality development of the students.
• To provide a venue for the exploration of various aspects in the performatic forum for the exchange of ideas amongst students.

FUNCTIONS

• KGNC have formed a cultural committee which consists of Convener, Member Secretary, Faculty and student committee members. The convener acts as head of the committee and she governs and foster the activities of the cultural committee.
• Committee articulates clearly defined objectives to promote the co- curricular activities.
• Committee plan and organize cultural events to bring out the talents of the students.
• It enlists the participation of students in planning, supporting and attending the cultural activities in Inter-collegiate, Inter-Zonal and Inter-university level.
• It informs the students about cultural events taking place in and around the city.
• It encourages the students to expose to the variety of human cultural events.
• It makes the students to have their own narratives about the world and about how cultures interact, challenged.
• Committee offers professional development and opportunities to enlighten the interests of their students.
• Encourage the students by offering them a certificate and mementos.
• This club has planned and conducted annual programmes in terms of CRESCITA-Cultural in an enormous way.
• It promotes vertical integration of students through the house system. And maintain standard points calculation to decide the championship towards college day.
• It encourages the students to enjoy all aspects of the performing arts and students are encouraged to join the club as they learn the skills and rehearse for each programme.
• It provides inspiration and opportunity to students to work on individual and group activities.
• The students develop and organize own clubs and have the opportunity to demonstrate and develop their leadership and decision making skills.
• It provides a learning experience for the members as students are responsible for the organizing, funding, public relations, regulating and scheduling activities for the these clubs under the direction of the Principal and faculty member.
• This club provides financial support for the students which help the students to purchase their costumes.

RESOLUTION

• To motivate the students to participate in national and international level competitions.
• To add a more trendy and traditional event in our cultural activities.
• To organize cultural programmes on National and International Vital days such as Festivals of India, World Music Day, World Dance day etc.

FUTURE PLANS

• To plan and conduct a session for practice weekly twice after the academic hours.
• To form and organize an orchestra in our college and inculcate the group of students to participate in the same.
• To arrange expert persons who are trained in cultural activities for providing training for the students.
