ADVISORY COMMITTEE

BACKGROUND

The advisory committee provides input and guidance related to the progress of the institution. The following committees are included as sub-committees: College development committee and Discipline committee.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To determine the needs of institution and develop a plan of action.
  2. To recommend effective technologies for the teaching and learning.
  3. To exchange the different educational experiences to face the education problems and obstacles and propose practical solutions.
  4. To strengthen the professional partnership with the hospital administrators in order to assess and reform the educational programmes and plan to integrate in practice.
  5. To contribute in developing future educational plans.
  6. To provide leadership in curricular and on-curricular activities in the college.
  7. To plan infrastructure development of the college as per the norms and regulations of statutory bodies.
  8. To define specific goals and planning to serve the mission.
  9. To maintain discipline in the campus, class room as well as in the hospitals wherever the students are posted.

FUNCTIONS

  1. Evaluating the goals and objectives of the programme
  2. Establishing workplace competencies for the programme.
  3. Suggesting programme revisions as needed.
  4. Evaluating the adequacy of existing college facilities and equipments.
  5. Advising college personnel on the selection and acquisition of new equipments.
  6. Identifying external learning experiences and placement opportunities.
  7. Assisting in the professional development of the faculty.
  8. Assisting in promoting and publicizing the program to the community.
  9. Defining and setting academic standards for the learning programmes concerned.
  10. Foster interdisciplinary activities within and across departments in the colleges such as Literary Club, Reproductive Health Unit, Women Cell, Red Ribbon Club, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, NSS, Learning Management System, etc.
  11. Inspire and assist the faculty to realize their highest potential for teaching, research, scholarship and service throughout a productive career.
  12. Encouraging students to take personal responsibility for their learning and behavior.
  13. Building positive relationship of mutual respect and mutual support among students, staff and parents.

RESOLUTION

  1. Collaborate with university and facilitate outreach activities to ensure visibility among public.
  2. Provide opportunities for all faculty members to extend their knowledge by providing research support.
  3. Optimize the use of technology (E-Learning) under Learning Management System in innovative teaching and learning programs.
  4. Assist administration on the budget and budget priorities for college activities.
  5. Motivate all faculty members to publish articles in the journals to expand and strengthen their professional knowledge and skill.

FUTURE PLAN

  1. To enhance teaching and learning through modern technology.
  2. Create a climate that encourages and reinforces good behavior.
  3. To partner with reputed universities abroad for students and faculty exchange programmes.
