 Hematology is like an ocean. Undergraduate students usually find it difficult to understand the basic concepts. So this guest lecture was conducted by our department for the benefit of undergraduate medical students. Dr. Chitrakala Sugumar is a well-known orator and an excellent teacher. Her field of interest is hematology. Welcome address and introduction of the speaker were delivered by Dr. Sowmya S, Professor and HOD of Pathology. She delivered her lecture on 9th august 2019 in BC ROY hall, MGMCRI college block between 2- 4pm. Students were mesmerized by her understanding of hematology. We all appreciated the way she made hematology palatable to our students. It was a very interactive session and thoroughly enjoyed by our students. She was honored with certificate and memento by Dr. Narasimhan, Emeritus Professor, on behalf of the Department. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof Umadevi KR. We thank the management for giving us full support for making this event a grand success.
