CME On Molecular Pathology and Genomics – Decoding Sequences: A New Path

A one day CME On Molecular Pathology and Genomics titled “Decoding Sequences: A New Path” was conducted by the Department of Pathology on 16.11.2019. Diagnostic applications and recent trends in molecular pathology and Genomics were emphasized and highlighted in this CME. A total of five major topics were covered which included Applications of cell culture, Clinicopathological Applications of FISH, Decoding Genes with  CRISPR, Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing for Pathologists and  Flow cytometry of Liquid tumours. The topics were covered comprehensively with active discussion. Nearly 100 delegates participated in this CME from various colleges. The sessions were chaired by eminent experts in the field of molecular pathology and genomics. The main aim of organizing this CME was fulfilled by providing an update on molecular pathology and genomics with comprehensive coverage of hot topics and recent trends. The valedictory function was conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners of the Postgraduate quiz and poster presentation.
