 
Guest lecture and Virtual Slide Seminar on Recent advances in thyroid tumors was conducted via WebEx on 21-02-2020 between 10.00 am to 12.00 noon at Bapuji Central Library,Ground Floor Hall, MGMCRI College Block by the Department of Pathology, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, SBV. Around 27 participants attended the lecture. Dr.Andrey Bychkov, MD, Ph D and team, renowned Russian pathologist, who is the Director of Digital Pathology, Kameda Medical Centre, Kamagowa City, Chiba, and also a Visiting Professor, Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Sakamoto Nagasaki, Japan and Dr. Jijgee Munkhdelger, MD, Ph.D were the speakers. The topics covered in the guest lecture were recent classification of thyroid tumors, various reporting systems in histopathology of thyroid tumors and its risk stratification. Post graduates and faculties-both inhouse and from other colleges attended this guest lecture and Pathologists from other countries like Myanmar, Thailand and Russia also took part through WebEx.
