ABOUT THE COURSE
B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology is an undergraduate course at SBV University. This course is offered by SSSMCRI which has an intake of 24 seats. The course teaches the different types of clinical laboratory tests that are available for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. A qualified Medical Laboratory Technologists can find opportunities India/abroad to work in Research laboratories/Biomedical/Genetic units/ health laboratories. One can join as Tutor in Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and as a quality manager in diagnostic laboratories.
Following the UGC guidelines, as an innovation, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences AHS from the year 2019-20, all Undergraduate courses have been designed with the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), wherein the students, depending upon their interests and aims, can choose interdisciplinary, intra-disciplinary and skill-based courses. The choice-based credit system not only offers opportunities and avenues to learn core subjects but also exploring additional avenues of learning beyond the core subjects for the holistic development of an individual. The CBCS curriculum thus provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed courses comprising a core, elective/minor or skill-based courses. The CBCS will undoubtedly groom the students with the best international academic practices.

Eligibility
Students who have passed in Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects with a good score in NEET are eligible to apply for this course. The candidate should be completing 17 years as on 31st Dec. Upper age Limit 35 years.
Relaxation
A relaxation of 5% in the required aggregate in Higher Secondary Examinations for this course will be given to OBC/SC/ST Candidates.
