ABOUT THE COURSE
B.Sc Blood Banking Technology course is offered in MGMCRI with an intake of 12 seats. A graduate of this course specializes in the collection and analysis of blood samples. They screen the blood donors and classify the blood type. They collect the blood, stores and prepare it for blood transfusion. The blood bank technicians are employed in government/corporate hospitals.
Following the UGC guidelines, as an innovation, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences AHS from the year 2019-20, all Undergraduate courses have been designed with the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), wherein the students, depending upon their interests and aims, can choose interdisciplinary, intra-disciplinary and skill-based courses. The choice-based credit system not only offers opportunities and avenues to learn core subjects but also exploring additional avenues of learning beyond the core subjects for the holistic development of an individual. The CBCS curriculum thus provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed courses comprising a core, elective/minor or skill-based courses. The CBCS will undoubtedly groom the students with the best international academic practices.

Eligibility
Pass in Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects with a good score in NEET. Candidate should be completing 17 years as on 31st Dec. Upper age Limit 35 years.
Relaxation
A relaxation of 5% in the required aggregate in Higher Secondary Examinations for this course will be given to OBC/SC/ST Candidates.
