ABOUT THE COURSE
B.Sc Clinical Nutrition course is offered in MGMCRI with an intake of 12 seats. The duration of the course is of 4 years (3 years+1 year of Internship). The course is designed to have an in-depth knowledge of nutrition and food science. A nutritionist provides guidance on matters of food habits and nutritional impacts on health. Job opportunities as nutritionist/dietician are in demand in government and private health care sectors, NGOs, teaching and education sectors also. One can go on to earn certification or licensure to practice as nutritionists or dieticians. They can conduct or take part in research activities after the completion of post-graduation.
Following the UGC guidelines, as an innovation, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences AHS from the year 2019-20, all Undergraduate courses have been designed with the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), wherein the students, depending upon their interests and aims, can choose interdisciplinary, intra-disciplinary and skill-based courses. The choice-based credit system not only offers opportunities and avenues to learn core subjects but also exploring additional avenues of learning beyond the core subjects for the holistic development of an individual. The CBCS curriculum thus provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed courses comprising a core, elective/minor or skill-based courses. The CBCS will undoubtedly groom the students with the best international academic practices.

Eligibility
Candidates who have passed in Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology with a good score in NEET are eligible to apply for this course. Candidate should be completing 17 years as on 31st Dec. Upper age Limit 35 years.
Relaxation
A relaxation of 5% in the required aggregate in Higher Secondary Examinations for this course will be given to OBC/SC/ST Candidates.
