ABOUT THE COURSE
M.Sc Medical Music Therapy is an allied health care course at MGMCRI which has a total intake of which 12 seats. Music Therapy is a growing allied health care professionals in its nascent stage of development in India as music has been well researched to have a profound effect on the body, mind and the soul. Treating the person as a whole instead of just the symptoms (integrative medicine) is an approach gaining popularity to achieve optimal health and healing and music therapy fits in as a perfect complementary therapy along with mainstream medicine.
The Master’s degree programme in Medical Music Therapy is the first graduate programme in music therapy with a hallmark of adoption of choice based credit system (CBCS) recommended as the major reform in higher education by UGC and NAAC. The programme with 58 credits offers different electives to the students.

Students gain theoretical knowledge and skills underlying the research process and develop the ability to apply these in doing a research project.

Eligibility
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Health/ Allied/ Basic Sciences possessing skills in Music and PGDMT with an overall grade point 6 are eligible to apply for this course.Upper age limit 40 Years.
