Profile SummaryDr. Chandra Philip was born and brought up in Bangalore and completed her schooling in Bangalore and completed her MBBS at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and MD at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She began her teaching career in the Department of Anatomy, KMC Manipal in the year 2006 teaching undergraduates of various courses like MBBS, BDS, BPT, Nursing, Allied health sciences etc.After serving seven years in Manipal group she has joined MGMC&RI in 2013 and serving the Institution till date. She has authored/co-authored twelve research articles and has presented and participated at various conferences. She has attended various Faculty development programs held at MGMC&RI. She is also a life member for the Society of Clinical Anatomists, and also a member of academic committees in MGMC&RI like member of Board of studies for MBBS , MD Anatomy, BDS. Also a member of promotion committee meeting at MGMC&RI. She has also served as an internal & External Examiner and paper setter in Anatomy both for UG & PG Examinations. Dr. A.N Uma, Associate Professor of Medical Genetics, joined as Medical Geneticist in the Dept. of Anatomy, MGMCRI on 09.01.2006. She had been promoted as Vice-Principal, Allied Health Sciences on 01.05.2017. She completed her Masters in Bio-Medical Genetics and M.Phil in Genetics from PG IBMS, Chennai, Madras University. She did her Ph.D. in Medical Genetics, SBV University, Pondicherry. She also completed B.A & M.A in English, Annamalai University and B.Ed in English & Science, IGNOU, New Delhi. She is presently the Editor-in-Chief of ‘The Chronicle’, an Official Newsletter of SBV, Executive Editor of ‘Annals of SBV”, an in-house journal of SBV, and the Managing Editor of the Journal of Basic, Clinical and Applied Health Sciences (JBCAHS), an international peer-reviewed quarterly journal of SBV. She has won 18 best paper awards at various State, National and International levels and has also many publications in journals of high reputations to her credit.

Prabavathy working currently as Professor in the Department of Anatomy, MGMCRI, Puducherry. she completed her MBBS from this institution and MD (Anatomy) from Sree Balaji Medical College, Chennai. She started her teaching career in the department of Anatomy, MGMCRI in the year 2013 and serving the institution till date . she has been teaching undergraduate students and guiding postgraduates. She has participated in many state, national and International conferences, CME, Seminars and Workshops. She was an organizing committee member and treasurer of national level departmental CME in 2015. She had presented oral scientific papers in 6 state and national level conferences. She had participated as Resource person in various CME and conferences and delivered Guest lectures. She have 17 publications published in indexed (Pubmed, Scopus) national and international journals. she also has contributions in Intellectual property rights, having one patent and two copyrights. She have been doing many research projects in regional anatomy, histopathology and also radiation effects in animal models.
She is a Faculty Member in-charge for FUGRA (Fellowship in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia) in our institution and having training in regional anatomy, Sonoanatomy for the past 3 years. She had participated as Resource person and guest speaker in anaesthesia state conferences and involved in conducting cadaveric workshops.
She also certified as instructor in BLS Health care providers and Advanced Cardiovascular Life support. She have been serving as a member in various committee and various association of Anatomists. She have been recognized as a guide for ph.D programme in Anatomy and Interdisciplinary Research of SBV. She have been appointed as internal examiner, external examiner and paper setter for various Universities. Her career objective is to be an honest, sincere and innovative professional and to reach great heights in a reputed organisation and to succeed in this competitive world.
