Undergraduate Training
After exposure to basic subjects, Urology department faculty, teach and train AHS undergraduate students about the applications, usage and maintenance of complex equipment used urology both in the outpatient department, wards and the operation theatre. For medical undergraduates series of essential Urology topics are dealt in the form of didactic Lectures, deliberation and demonstration, during their routine academic sessions.
Postgraduate Training
General Surgery Residents are posted for 15 days in the Department of Urology. During this period, they are exposed to various OPD patients, follow rounds in the wards and attend cases in the operation theatre.
Super Specialty Training
AT MGMCRI, the MCh Urology course is a full time residency cum MCh course, where the candidates are considered senior residents and will be responsible for the total care of the patients, under the supervision of senior consultants. Not only will the candidates receive a complete theoretical insight into the wide spectrum of diseases of urogenital system and retroperitoneum, but they also receive training to take rational decisions in the face of ethical dilemmas in urological diseases.

The HOD of Department of Urology is recognized as a PhD Guide for aspiring PhD candidates whoever is interested to pursue one’s study with any kind of theme based on Basics or Applied Clinical urology. All categories of faculty are constantly encouraged in pursuing at intra departmental and inter departmental level as well.
