Certificate Course on Conventional and Real-Time PCR Technology was held on 4-5th of January 2020. This course includes introduction of PCR and its type’s, reaction setups, primer designing, agarose gel electrophoresis, data analysis and application of PCR. This course has the SBV credit point of 1 with 16 hours of theory and practical sessions. Resource persons from Pondicherry University, Veda Scientific and skype sessions from Belgium supported the course for two days. A total of 8 applications received for this certificate course, of that 6 applicants attended the workshop.
Group discussions, pre and post assessments were conducted to assess the participant’s knowledge on PCR technology. Good response and positive feedbacks were obtained and documented. We thank the SBV management for the opportunity to conduct the certificate course.
