e-SAMHITA – 2020

e –SAMHITA 2020 – an International Conference of Health Sciences undergraduate students was organized by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Deemed to be University, Pondicherry on 22nd and 23rd December 2020.

The two day event witnessed illustrious presentations by eminent people from across the world. The 2 days of academic extravaganza includes plenary sessions, keynote addresses, symposium, lectures, workshop and competitive events. Nearly 950 delegates have enrolled in this conference. The main objective of this conference is aimed at providing diverse opportunities for the young minds to supplement & enrich their training, in the realms of basic health sciences, clinical skills, research & well-being / salutogenesis. 

Prof.  Sanjeev Misra, Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, inaugurated the event virtually and congratulated the SBV team for organizing such a unique program for the undergraduate students. This would go a long way in encouraging the young minds to explore newer vistas in the rapidly emerging developments in academics and evidence based research.

Prof Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice Chancellor, SBV in his address mentioned that e-SAMHITA is a good opportunity for the student’s community to enlighten themselves in the areas of research besides imbibing the spirit of research.  SBV ahead has taken plenty of initiatives in the recent times to motivate their undergraduate students to get involved in various research activities. This conference was earlier scheduled in the month of March 2020 in physical mode, but due to the global stunning pandemic situation it was postponed and rescheduled now in the virtual mode as e – SAMHITA. In addition to this, SBV has organized SBV Chancellor’s Medal 2020 Elocution Contest on 21st December 2020 on the eve of e-Samhita 2020 and the 70th Constitution Day of India. on the topic “Seven decades of Indian constitution – significance of cultural and educational rights in the present scenario”. Undergraduate students from different colleges in the Union Territory of Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands actively participated in this contest.
