The Department of Prosthodontics, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth celebrated the World’s Prosthodontist day [every year on 22nd of January]. World Prosthodontist Day is celebrated all over the world to commemorate the contribution of the fraternity of Prosthodontics [speciality that deals with replacement of teeth].
The celebration at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth had various events lined up for the benefit of students. The purpose is to instil the spirit of this specialty through various competitions which could demonstrate their artistic ability. With the central theme “God Create.. We Recreate”, the students demonstrated their talents by active participation in the events like “Smile selfie Contest” , “ Meme Contest”, “ Video Competitions”, “ Instagram reels”, “ Dental Art” and much more. Almost all the students participated in the wide array of events. All events were planned with adequate precautions against any kind of disease spread.
Free Denture Treatment Camp: For the benefit of patients at large, the Dental Hospital of the University – Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, opens its services for free denture treatment for underprivileged at Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. They could approach the hospital from 22nd January 2020 to 31st January 2020 for consultation and free registration of services. The patients could also contact through special helpline numbers on the above-mentioned days. It is assured that all disease – prevention – precautionary measures would be followed for the patients availing services in the hospital.
