Controller of Examinations
Dr. Srirangaraj Sreenivasan is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and Controller of Examinations at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry. He secured the coveted second rank in MD Microbiology from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
An avid researcher in Medical Microbiology, he has 48 publications in various national and international journals to his credit. He has authored a monograph and  presented 15 papers in various regional, national and international conferences, besides winning prizes in conferences.  He has been a guide and co-guide for MD(Microbiology) students and an examiner across various health science universities in India. His areas of interest in research are chiefly - immunological monitoring of HIV (CD4 counts by flow cytometry), bacteriology of Vibrio and Salmonella and hospital-acquired infections.

Prof. Srirangaraj has been instrumental in initiating several reforms in the examination process and is a votary of digitization process leading to comprehensive Examination Management System (EMS). Several innovative evaluation processes have already been enabled during his tenure till date.

On the extra academic front, Prof. Srirangaraj is a performing Classical Carnatic vocalist, having been trained under the expert guidance of Rudrapatnam Sri R.N.Thyagarajan, a recipient of Padma Shri.
