National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS)

Bio-medical scientists of eminence, who have distinguished themselves in their fields, are selected for delivering orations under the auspices of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India every year. 

SBV MAPCOM is glad to share that Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SBV, has been selected for delivering the prestigious Dr R V Rajam Oration on 23rd December, 2020 between 3- 5 pm on the topic “Role of Molecular detection and Identification of pathogenic Entamoeba histolytica in accurate laboratory diagnosis and true prevalence of amoebiasis” in the 60th NAMSCON 2020. 

Dr R V Rajam oration was instituted in 1977 on the occasion of 80 th birthday celebration of Dr.R.V.Rajam The oration in awarded to an eminent medical / public health scientist to deliberate on his/her research on a subject which has relevance to the health needs of the country including, amongst others related to community health / communicable diseases with special reference to their pathophysiology, clinical or laboratory diagnosis, medical or surgical management, and/or prevention of such diseases at the individual or community level.
