National Level Paper/E-Poster/Video/Young Researcher Award (YRA)

  4. YRA – Young Researchers Award – For Undergraduate / Post Graduate / Faculty under the age of 40 years with new procedure or innovation or surgery that would be useful for the medical community and general public.

  1. Postgraduates.
  2. Faculty / Practicing doctors.

COMMON GUIDELINES

  • The presentation would be held separately for all three categories and Participation and Merit Certificates would be given. Attractive prizes would also be given.
  • LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS – 10 June 2023.
  • Abstracts have to be sent to the email address – [email protected].
  • Registration is mandatory for the presentation.
  • The presenters would be getting participation certificates from the TN State Branch of IMA.
  • The first three positions would be carrying the Certificate of Merit or Appreciation, and the fourth and fifth prizes would be given certificates of Appreciation.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to accommodate or deny permission to present and to assign the paper to any session it deems fit.
  • All the abstracts from the residents of Medical Colleges should be certified by the Head of the Department and a soft copy has to be sent to the email ID – [email protected].

Guidelines for Paper/Poster/YRA

  1. The top of the poster/paper on the first slide should display, the lettering of 18 Bold (Times New Roam), and the following information: Title of your Paper, Name (s) of the Author(s), and the affiliation(s).
  2. The Logo of your institute should be in the right corner of the poster.
  3. LETTERING – Kindly use both UPPER and lowercase letters for general content, as all capital text is difficult to read. It is recommended to use a Font size of 14, a Font style of Times New Roman for the content of the poster.
  4. Please make sure there is enough contrast between the color of the text and the poster’s background.
  5. Text and presentation should be in ENGLISH only CONTENT OF THE POSTER / PAPER.
  6. Please make sure that the specific sections ( such as the background, methods, results, and conclusions) are easy to locate in the poster/paper.
  7. We should try to keep the text easy to read and concise. The poster/paper should have a clear message, a logical layout, and be easy to comprehend.

Participation certificates would be given to all the participants.

Attractive prizes for each genre and category and merit and appreciation certificates for the top 5 entries

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Abstract for all the categories of Scientific presentation – must be in Times New Roman with font size 12
  • Single spacing with a maximum of 250 words as an MS Word document in IMRAD format. (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).
  • The list of Authors, Affiliation of Authors, and College have to be mentioned in the Abstract.
  • Presenting authors name may be underlined and highlighted.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Free Paper:

  • Original articles, case series, and prospective or retrospective clinical studies can be presented under this category
  • The presentation has to be in ppt format.
  • The time limit for the presentation is 8 mins (6 mins for presentation and 2 mins for discussion)
  • SEPARATE CATEGORY PRESENT FOR PG / FACULTY

Free Posters:

  • The presentation has to be in ppt format with slides not more than 5.
  • The time limit for the presentation is 7 mins ( 5mins for presentation and 2 mins for discussion)
  • Printed posters or photographs of printed posters will NOT be accepted
  • The poster must be made in a 16:9 ratio in PPT / PDF format
  • Please make sure that there are only 5 PPT slides for your E Poster
  • SEPARATE CATEGORY PRESENT FOR PG / FACULTY

YOUNG RESEARCHER AWARD

  • All medical doctors/residents less than 40 years of age are eligible for presentation under the category of the “Young Researcher Award”.
  • Only original articles will be accepted under this category.
  • The presentation has to be in ppt format.
  • The time limit for the presentation is 10 mins (7mins for presentation and 3 mins for discussion).
  • SEPARATE CATEGORY PRESENT FOR PG / FACULTY

VIDEO PRESENTATION

  • Any original work is acceptable in this category – operative work or investigations – diagnostic or therapeutic with unusual or rare findings can be included.
  • The time limit for the presentation is 10 mins (7mins for presentation and 3 mins for discussion).
  • SEPARATE CATEGORY PRESENT FOR PG/FACULTY

SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE WOULD DECIDE ABOUT THE SELECTION OF PAPER / POSTER PRESENTATION BASED ON THE ABSTRACTS AND THEIR DECISION IS FINAL
