CHETTINADU ORAL HEALTH PROGRAM 2017

Team Public Health Dentistry, IGIDS, SBV, in association with Nattarasan Nagarathar Sangam, Arpudha Foundation and Rotary Club of Karaikudi organized 3 days comprehensive oral health program for the 5th consecutive year from 3rd Dec to 5th Dec 2017 at three different places. Patients were screened and treated for plaque induced gingivitis, caries and common oral mucosal lesions. Patients with systemic diseases were referred for appropriate medical opinion. Tobacco cessation counseling was given to the public. A total of 931 beneficiaries received 1400 treatments comprised of scaling, restorations and extractions.

 

Day 1: (03.12.17)

Chettinadu Oral Health Program was conducted at Nattarasan Kottai, Tamil Nadu was hosted by Nattarasan Kottai Nagarathar Sangam. A total of 351 patients were screened for oral diseases. A total of 542 treatments were done comprised of 266 scaling, 198 restorations and 78 extractions.

 

Day 2: (04.12.117)

Chettinadu Oral Health Program was conducted at M.V. High School, Muthupattinam, Karaikudi, by Arpudha Foundation & Rotary Club of Karaikudi. A total of 310 patients were screened for oral diseases. A total of 466 treatments were done comprised of 228 scaling, 186 restorations and 52 extractions.

 

Day 3:  (05.12.17)

Chettinadu Oral Health Program was conducted at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Muthupattinam, Karaikudi, by Arpudha Foundation & Rotary Club of Karaikudi. A total of 270 patients were screened for oral diseases. A total of 392 treatments were done comprised of 162 scaling, 190 restorations and 40 extractions.
