 
On the rainy day of 14/11/2014, a team from the Indira Gandhi institute of Dental Sciences conducted a Children’s Day Programme to encourage and cherish the smiling faces of Irulansandhai Government Primary School. Thanks to the principal of the school, Mr.Sivakumar, who with his enduring support helped to carry out the programme successfully. Dr Reddys Lab, sponsored cheeriogel tooth paste for all the 47 students in that school.
Drawing competition was conducted for students from 1st to 3rd grades. Singing competition for students in the 3rd and 4th grades while elocution was organized for the 4th and 5th grade students. For each competition 3 winners were selected and were awarded with a prize. Plates, tumblers and toothpastes were distributed for all the children. A mini sports kit for the students was handed over to the principal. At the end of the programme an awareness speech regarding the importance of oral hygiene and its maintenance was delivered to the students.
