 Induction program was conducted on 10th August 2015 at 9.00 AM in the ground floor lecture hall, MGMCRI, to welcome the 2015–16 I year BDS students. The program started with the welcome address by Dr. Saravana Kumar, Vice Principal, IGIDS, which was followed by an inspiring speech by Prof. Carounanidy Usha, Principal, IGIDS, about the various facilities and committees like anti ragging, women’s grievance cell, student grievance cell, hostel student welfare committee, SC/ST cell, anti ragging committee, disciplinary committee etc. that contributes to the smooth functioning of the institution. The importance of Mentor Mentee System was explained and First year coordinator was introduced to the first year students. Prof. K. R. Sethuraman, Vice Chancellor, SBV, explained the importance of doing BDS in our prestigious University. The Oath taking was administrated by Dr. Rajkumar, Student Advisor and the program ended with vote of thanks.
