The Scientific and Academic Forum, IGIDS, conducted a CDE/Seminar on Grant writing on Thursday, 16 th May 2024, between 14:00 and 16:00 hrs. The resource persons were Dr. Kirthiga M, Reader, Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Saveetha Dental
College, Chennai and Dr Sivaramakrishnan, Associate Professor, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, IGIDS. The target audiences were the Faculty,Postgraduates and CRRIs of IGIDS. The program started with playing of the IGIDS anthem
following which Ms. Nisha and Ms. Yogalakshmi, Interns, IGIDS, SBV welcomed and introduced the speakers, following which Prof Dr. Aruna Sharma, Principal, IGIDS, SBV, addressed the gathering. Dr Kirthiga spoke about her journey post completion of her
postgraduation, on her persual of the PhD program and the meticulous steps and on how she planned writing for her grant protocol. She also gave a few tips to the gathering on how to address the interviewers. Next Dr Sivaramakrishnan spoke about his ICMR journey and a few tips on how to apply for grant and how to choose ones area of interest. The talk was well received and was interactive with the participants.
