 
The program ‘hands- on workshop on Nitrous Oxide Inhalation Sedation (NOIS)’ was conducted at the Department of Paedodontics and Preventive dentistry, IGIDS, SBV, on 4th January 2018. There program commenced with inauguration by Team Pedo, Dr. Roshan Rayen, Resource person, Dr. Santha Devy, Vice Principal, IGIDS, and Dr Vineela Reddy, Member secretary, SAF. Dr. G S Prathima, Professor and Head, Department of Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, IGIDS, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Kayalvizhi G, Professor, Department of Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, IGIDS, proposed the Vote of thanks.
The total number of beneficiary was 13 which comprised of post graduates from Raja Muthiah Dental College & Hospital, Chidambaram, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences and faculties. The session consisted of lecture on introduction to NOIS, indications & contraindications, machine & its safety features, administration & its protocol, sedation assisted Paediatric Dentistry, signs & symptoms of NOIS with video demonstration of the sedation unit and hands-on workshop by the resource person. The program concluded with valedictory function.
