PERIO MELANGE

The 3^rd ISP National UG Convention PERIO MELANGE 2019 was held at Department of Periodontics, Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, on 5^th and 6^th April 2019. The programme was organized to update the latest knowledge in the field of Periodontics for undergraduate students. Prof. Pratebha, Head of the Department, Department of Periodontics, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, delivered a guest lecture on “Management of Periodontitis – Recent Updates” on 6^th April 2019. Dr. Karthikeyan, Reader, Department of Periodontics, contributed as chairperson for paper presentation on 5^th April 2019 and e-poster presentation on 6^th April 2019. A total of 9 final year BDS students from Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences (IGIDS), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV), participated in the convention and brought laurels to IGIDS, SBV. Ms. Sri Niranjana secured 1^st prize in Paper Presentation. Ms. Harini secured the 1^st prize for e-poster. Mr. Jerome and Ms. Amirtha Prasad secured the 3^rd prize for e-poster.
