 Women’s Day Celebration was organized by Department of Periodontology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, at Rajnivas on 9th March 2017 in a meaningful way. Twenty self help group (SHG) representatives comprising of over 200 women from several villages gathered at Rajnivas. The importance of oral hygiene awareness especially for women was conveyed by means of a health talk by Dr. Saravana Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontology, IGIDS, SBV, in the presence of Honourable Lt. Governor Dr. Kiran Bedi. Pamphlets with oral hygiene instructions were distributed to all the SHG representatives present. Oral hygiene aids (Tooth brush and paste) as a women’s day gift was also distributed to all women present.
