World AIDS day – Awareness lecture on Voluntary blood donation and HIV/AIDS-02.02.24

The Red Ribbon Club of IGIDS organized “AIDS Day Awareness lecture on Volunteer blood donation and HIV/AIDS” on 2nd February 2024 between 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. at 5th Floor, Old Building, Lecture Hall, IGIDS. The target audience were First year BDS students and Interns, almost 60 students were participated for the program. The program started with welcome address given by Miss.Keerthi shri, and the red ribbon badges were distributed to all the participants, volunteers and faculties. Followed which Prof. Aruna Sharma, Principal, IGIDS, address the gathering, and also prize distribution for the winners of various event conducted for the AIDS DAY was given by Principal, IGIDS and Prof. Santha Devy, Vice-Principal. The program was organized and coordinated by Prof. M. Shivasakthy, Program organizer and Dr. T. Sivasankari, Treasurer of RRC, IGIDS. Principal mam honored the judge Dr John Baliah, Reader, IGIDS, with memento and certificate and also to the speaker of the day Dr Sivasankari, Reader, IGIDS. Dr Shivasakthy, Program organizer honored the principal mam with the memento as a token of love. The various events like Poster competition, painting, memes were conducted on Aids awareness Day and winners were selected for each category. The lecture mainly focused on the importance of blood donation and to create awareness about HIV/AIDS Prevention and various treatment modalities and dental health considerations.
