The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, in collaboration with National Oral Health Programme, National Tobacco Control Programme, Puducherry State Health Mission and Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry, Tamil Nadu Chapter, organized various awareness programme with the theme “Say Ahh: Act on Mouth Health”. On 20th March 2019, Oral health awareness road rally was held at Pilliyarkuppam along with the distribution of oral health awareness pamphlets to the public. On 21st March 2019, Special School Oral Health Programme was conducted at Anbagam Special School, Puducherry. In this programme, 70 special need children were provided with comprehensive oral health screening and treatment like scaling and restorations.
