On behest of Indian Society of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, the “World Oral Health Day” was commemorated from march 18th -22nd, 2021 by the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, IGIDS. At the Providence Mall, mime & puppet shows, children’s activities, oral health interview, display of oral health posters & mask-drive campaign were conducted for creating oral health awareness. Oral health education program was done in Rainbow FM, Puducherry and all the events were telecasted in Kamala News TV channel. In Instagram, three contests were conducted with the theme of ‘Oral Health’. The mime and puppet shows went live on Instagram. Oral health educations posters were displayed at primary health centres, Department of Pediatrics, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, MGMCRI and shops. Oral hygiene instructions & brushing techniques pamphlets were also distributed.
