In view of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth’s innovative focus, SBV AIM-HIGH (SBV Academy of Integrative Medicine for promotion of Holistic Intervention towards General Health) was started right from the inception with Yoga and Music therapy offered in hospital services at MGMC&RI.

This was then taken forward for more than 12 years through designated centers for Yoga therapy and Music therapy in the form of CYTER (Center for Yoga Therapy Education & Research) and CMTER (Center for Music Therapy Education & Research). They were entrusted with the task of facilitating the transformation of focus from pathogenesis to salutogenesis through various activities in the realms of patient care, health professionals education, and cutting-edge research. Adequate infrastructure facilities were provided and eminent faculty members recruited to fulfill the vision and mission of SBV.

In 2022 these two centers were upgraded into an Institute of Salutogenesis and Complementary Medicine having Schools of Yoga Therapy and Music Therapy.

ISCM was inaugurated on 22 August 2022 by Dr. Bhushan Patwardhan, Chairman NAAC EC & Former Vice Chairman UGC in the presence of Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice Chancellor, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth.
