The 10th National Conference on Recent Advancements and innovations in Pediatric Nursing organized by the Department of Child Health Nursing on 6th December 2019.
The registration of the conference started at 8.30 am, A total of 110 delegates (Including Resource Person – Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry) registered the conference.At 9.55 am the inaugural session started with the college Anthem. A warm welcome was accorded by Prof. Geetha. C, the Organizing Secretary. The Principal Dr. K. Renuka rendered the Presidential Address where she emphasized the importance of innovations in nursing profession. Prof. Mrs. P. Sumathy, Vice Principal overview of the conference. The inaugural address delivered by Prof.M.RaviShankar,Dean,MGMC&RI where he highlighted the need for advancements and innovations in pediatric nursing”.
The bundle of knowledge was compressed in a CD and was released by the special Guest, Dr. Mamatha Shivananda Pai, Professor, Department of child health nursing, Manipal Academy of higher education, Manipal, which was followed by her key note address to the gathering. The inaugural came to an end by 10.40 a.m with the vote of Thanks proposed by Prof. S. Rajeswari, KGNC followed by National Anthem. The valedictory session commenced at 5.30pm Ms. S. Saranya welcomed the gathering; Prof. Geetha. C presented a brief report about the conference proceedings followed that feedback was given by the Observer Podium presentation Evaluators were honored Best podium presenters & delegates were also honored. The conference came to an end with national anthem at 6.00 pm.
