The Government of Puducherry, Labour Department, Employment Exchange organized a Vocational & Educational Career Guidance Exhibition on 29.05.2019 to 02.06.2019 at Pondicherry Beach, Gandhi Square. On the behest of our Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, faculty members from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (AHS)& Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College (KGNC), SBV participated in the event.
Mrs.Apoorvalakshmi.S, Tutor in Pathology, AHS took part in the plenary session conducted by the Labour Commissioner, held at the Employment Exchange office Puducherry on 27.05.2019. Mrs.Apoorvalakshmi Tutor in Pathology, AHS, and Mr.Surendar, Tutor in Med Surgical Nursing, KGNC were deputed to highlight their respective units and our hospital services to the people coming for the Career Guidance Exhibition. Pamphlets regarding the Medical & Dental services offered at SBV were distributed by our faculty to the onlookers. They also informed and highlighted the different courses offered at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. Earlier on 29.05.2019, the program was formally inaugurated by Mr.Selvaraju, honorable LabourCommissioner, Pondicherry. The program started at 6.00 pm and ended at 9.30 pm on all five days. All the Allied Health Sciences courses and Nursing courses were put in display at the exhibition stalls, which enlightened almost sixty people regarding courses offered at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth in detail. On 02.06.2019, honorable Chief Minister of Pondicherry Mr.Narayanaswamy, honorable Labour Minister of Pondicherry Mr.Kandasamy and honorable LabourCommissioner of Pondicherry Mr.Selvaraju were the chief guests for the Valedictory function. Mr.Narayanaswamy, honorable Chief Minister, awarded all the participating institutions with a certificate and a memento.
