 
Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College Joined hands with NSS in collaboration with Government of Puducherry conducted an awareness rally on Smokeless Bhogi, at Kosapalayam PHC, Puducherry on 13.01.2020 between 9 am to 12.30 PM. 1800 populations were covered in this programme.
A Public awareness rally on smokeless Bhogi was organized on 13th January 2020 by KGNC with PHC Kosapalyam from Pillaithottam to Kosapalayam around 2 kms. The motive behind organizing the rally was to develop the student as a national power, to make them think about development, in which pollutants plays a major role in air pollution leading cause for respiratory related mortality and morbidity. The rally well-coordinated by Dr.Ganesan, AD (Malaria), Mr.Ayyanar, Health Inspector, Health Assistants, and Nursing Faculty Mrs.Bamalakshmi.J, Asso.Prof, Mrs.Aruna Devi, Asst.Prof, Mrs.Subakeerthi, Asst.Prof and Mrs.Rajalakshmi.R, Asst.Prof, Mrs.Jayapradha, Nursing Tutor, Department of Community Health Nursing, KGNC.Dr.Ganesan, JD (Malaria) &Mr.Ayyanar, Health Inspector delivered speech on prevention of air pollution and on environmental sanitation. 50 final year students actively involved in this awareness rally by displaying the pluck cards on prevention of air pollution. This rally was very useful for the student’s in order to provoke the awareness among the community on Smokeless Bhogi.
