SBV Committee for Filing Copyright & KGNC organized a Copyright Writing Workshop on 20.05.19 to 22.05.19between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Hall, Bapuji Central Library, SBV Campus, Puducherry.
Introduction and Benefits of Copyright were presented by Mr. Surendran S.R., Tutor, KGNC. The Faculty and the PG Students had given self-Introduction. The session was started with the presentation of Prof. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Director, CYTER, SBV on “Introduction, Benefits of Copyright and Copyrightable Subject Matters”. Mrs. Jayanthi K, Asst.Prof., KGNC presented the topic on “Developing Ideas and Concepts for Copyright”
Group Exercise -1: with brainstorming possible ideas for copyright. Dr. Meena Ramanathan, Dy. Director, CYTER, SBV, focused on Copyright success stories by authors at SBV. Dr. Shivasakthy M, Professor, Dept. of Prosthodontics, IGIDS, discussed the topic “How to write a statement of work & description of the work”. Group Exercise -2: started with writing a statement of work & description of the work. Mrs. Bhuvaneswari, Tutor, CYTER, presented on the topic “How to write Uniqueness of the work & Advantages of present work”, followed by its Group Exercise -3. Presentation of Copyrightable Ideas and Concepts by Participants – Session 1. Dr. Veni Subramanyam, Scientist, CIDRF, discussed the topic “Protection against Copyright Infringement”.
Day 2, started with a presentation of Statement of Work & Description of the work – followed by Session 2, that was on Presentation of Uniqueness of the work & Advantages of present work – Session 3. Prof. Dr. Renuka K, Principal, KGNC & Chairperson – SBV Committee for Filing Copyright, a guide on the topic “How to write a Copyright Proposal”, followed by its Group Exercise -4. Presentation of Copyright Proposal –Session 4. Dr. M. Senthil, Head, Public Health Dentistry, IGIDS & MIPTECH Secretary, SBV, presented on the topic of Copyright filing procedures. Group Exercise -5: with Developing Copyright format for Filing.
Day 3, started with the presentation of Copyright filing Proposals by participants – Session 5. The participants shared their ideas and submitted a copyright content for filing process of each to SBV Committee for Filing Copyright & MIPTECH. The Valedictory function started & the online program feedback was presented by Mrs. Jayanthi K, Member Secretary, SBV Committee for Filing Copyright and the open feedback was got from the participants, resource speakers, and facilitators.
