INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON VOICE OF MIDWIVES-REVITALIZING THE REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, a constituent unit of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth organized the 2 nd
International conference in collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research on Voice of
Midwives- “Revitalizing the Reproductive Health” at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College &
Research Institute on January 18 & 19, 2018. The conference was aimed at providing holistic
overview of high standards of Quality Nursing services, Research and challenges to tackle
upcoming issues in Reproductive health by bringing experts from various parts of the globe in a
single platform. The conference had deliberated issue on all aspects of Reproductive issues and
challenges by expert speakers from Europe, Nepal, Sri Lanka and attracting participants from
JIPMER, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College & Research Institute, Mahatma Gandhi
Medical College and Research Institute, Sri Manakula Vinayagar College of Nursing, Sri
Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and other institutions from in
and around the Nation.Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College had the pride of having Dr.Nandhini K
Kumar, Former Deputy Dirctor General, Sr.Grade (ICMR), New Delhi who delivered key note
address amidst an highly intellectual key persons on dias such as Prof.K.R.Sethuraman, Vice-
Chancellor, Dr.Renuka.K, Dean, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, SBV, Dr.Gerhard Tucek, Director
of Institute of Therapeutic sciences KREMS, Austria, Europe and Ms.Radha Saini, Fellow UICC
Geneva, Independent researcher, Patiala, Punjab. The good start proceeded for two days giving
lot of knowledge inputs for the delegates.
