 
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony of XVII Batch of B.Sc (N) student was held on 29.01.2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm at B C Roy Hall, Ground Floor, MGMCRI. The Programme started with the procession which was preceded over by Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice- Chancellor, SBV followed by Prof. Dr. Renuka K, Principal, KGNC, Head of Departments and I Year B.Sc(N) students. Prof. Sumathy P, Vice Principal, gave a warm welcome address to the gathering. Prof. Kripa angeline A, Nursing Superintendent, MGMCRI deliberated about the Significance of lamp Lighting.
All the students of  I year B.Sc (N) got the candles ignited by the senior most faculty members and received the Nightingale’s Pledge from Prof. Dr. Renuka K, Principal, KGNC. Prof. Ravishankar M, Dean, MGMCRI, felicitated the gathering.
Prof. Dr. A. Felicia Chitra, Principal, College of Nursing, MTPG&RIHS, the Chief Guest of Lamp Lighting Ceremony gave the Chief Guest Address. Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice- Chancellor, SBV had given the Special Address. Mrs. Jayanthi K, Assistant Professor, KGNC, delivered the Vote of Thanks & the programme came to end with the Recession.
