 
Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Department of Community Health Nursing joined hands with Primary Health Center, kirumapakkam and Government of Puducherry towards Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign on 10.03.2019 to 14.03.2019. The campaign was carried out among under-five children in selected Anganwadi centers, sub-centers, and schools at kirumapakkam. The beneficiaries were under five children around 2500 Children. The campaign was supported by two medical officers, 20 PHC staff nurse,10 health assistant, 20 social and Anganwadi worker and two nursing faculty from the Department of Community Nursing KGNC. 10 B.Sc (Nursing) II year students have participated. This campaign was useful to the students for developing skills and knowledge of pulse polio vaccine and its importance.
The campaign covered the following areas at Kirumapakkam Block:
- Kirumapakkam PHC
- Anganwadi center Panithittu
- Anganwadi center Pillaiyarkuppam
- Government Primary School, Manapattu
