In commemoration of World Breast Feeding week 2019, Department of Child Health Nursing , KGNC, organized various events from August 1-7 based on “Empower parents-Enable breast feeding” the theme of 2019 in different health care settings .The focus was on the antenatal mothers, post natal mothers and their family members emphasizing the importance of family support to the mothers to provide exclusive breast feeding to their children. The events organized were Mime show ,Essay competition,Poster competition,Quiz competition,Role pay.The effectiveness of the programs like Mime show and role play were evaluated through the standardized feedback form and analyzed, which showed the 96% of the beneficiaries were highly satisfied .The quiz ,essay and poster competitions were evaluated by both internal and external experts and the winners were selected .
