In commemoration of World COPD Day, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing organized Awareness Programme on 21.11.18 at Male Medical Ward, MGMCRI. The objective of the programme was to highlight the theme of the year “Never too early Never too late”- Smoking Cessation. Ms. Praimathi, a Tutor, gave a lucid Health Talk on overview of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases and Self-management. The video-assisted session accompanied by the reinforcement of the need for the preventive measure by the Faculty members of the Department sought the enthusiastic participation of the Public. Around 30 Beneficiaries got benefitted out of it and the queries were clarified in simple terms by the Faculty.
