In Commemoration of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing conducted Role Play on World Hospice and Palliative care ”on 15.10.2024 from 10.00 am to 12.00pm at Primary Health Centre, Kirumampakkam, and Puducherry. The objective of the programme was to highlight the theme of the year “10 years since the resolution: How are we doing?. The purpose of the programme is to create public awareness about the Palliative care and its importance, coping strategies and how to overcome the problem faced during Palliative care. The programme began at 10.00 am with the presence of Dr. Narayanan D, Senior Medical Officer, PHC, and Kirumampakkam. M.Sc., Nursing 1 st Year, M.Sc., Nursing 2 nd Year and B.Sc., Nursing- 2 rd Year students had actively participated in the role play programme. The public clarified their queries regarding various aspects of Palliative care. The team was led by Ms. Sowndariya P, Mr. Jayaprakash and Ms. Sarathapritha, Tutor Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, KGNC. Nearly 30 General Public along with 02 Medical Officer and 04 Staff
attended the programme. Feedback was collected from the audience.
