In commemoration of World Stroke Day, Department Of Medical Surgical Nursing
organized awareness programme on 08.12.17 at Male Medical Ward, MGMCRI.The objective of
the programme was to highlight the theme of the year “WHAT IS THE REASON FOR
PREVENTING STROKE.” Ms.Praimathi.A, Tutor gave a lucid health talk on “OVER VIEW OF
STROKE”and its prevention. Placing emphasis on the basis of occurrence of stroke, risk factors
and the important vital strategies to prevent stroke. The video assisted session accompanied by
the reinforcement of the need for preventive measures by the Faculty members of the
department.. The queries were clarified in simple terms by the Faculty. The recorded feedback as
excellent is an added evidence for the effectiveness of the health talk.
