DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
OBJECTIVES
- To provide guidance and proper orientation to students development rather than imposing punishments on them.
- To induce the development of intrinsic controls to personal behavior of the students rather than putting them under strict regulations.
- To aim that a liberal but disciplined atmosphere is to be created for the whole personal development of students.
- To hope that one perfects, who are trained as student leaders, will gain the experience and technique in people management.
- The primary objective is to address and effectively solve various student related matters.
- To maintain a balance between students demands/problems and feasibility of solution provided by authorities.
- To develop unity and integrity among students.
- To maintain discipline in the campus, class room as well as in the hospitals wherever the students are posted.
- To uptake measures for inappropriate behavior including progressive discipline comprising suspension and expulsion whenever necessary.
FUNCTIONS
- KGNC have formed a discipline  committee which consist of Convenor, Member Secretary, Faculty and Student Members. The convenor acts as head of the committee and she governs and foster the activities of the discipline committee.
- Encouraging students to take personal responsibility for their learning and behavior.
- Helping young people to mature into responsible participating citizens.
- Building positive relationship of mutual respect and mutual support among students, staff and parents.
- It focuses on promoting good behavior.
- It promotes the conditions for learning and teaching, dignity, freedom from threat and threat of violence for both staff and students.
- Plan and implement a team approach to helping students to behave well.
- Promotes equality for all students of the college.
- Make sure that all the students are aware of the discipline of the college and campus.
- If any indiscipline found by any of the students, talk with them on the first instance, take disciplinary action based on the rules and regulations of the committee.
- Written explanation letter obtained from the students who have not followed the rules and regulations of the institution.
- Peer group interaction to follow the dress code.
- Conduction of committee meeting whenever an issue arises.
STUDENT MEMBER ROLE
- Constantly support the discipline committee to implement the disciplinary activities in the college campus.
- Respect to bring out the co operation to maintain the discipline.
- Generate support in delivery the objectives and implementing objectives of the committee.
- To promote close bonds and harmony with other students.
- To give respect and willingness to help others.
- To develop courtesy and good manners.
RESOLUTIONS​
- The disciplinary committee may decide that a resolution of complaint is in order. The convenor (Principal) of the disciplinary committee will sign the letter.
- The complaint will also be notified.
- The discipline committee will then outline a proposed penalty for the complaints. This usually includes a fine and written explanation from the students.
- The students is notified that he or she notify the discipline committee in writing within a specified period of time to indicate whether he/she accepts the resolution of the complaint.
