HEALTH COMMITTEE

In order to place an emphasis on the health of the students, the health committee was initiated in KGNC. It takes care of the health needs of the students by conducting health checkup, maintenance of health records and availing of sick leave for students who are in need. Management has provided Hepatitis-B Vaccine for all the students free of cost.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To promote health and prevent illness among the students.
  2. To develop and promote healthy environment for students.
  3. To conduct the health screening programme for students.
  4. To provide facilities for the students during their sickness. To undertake the regular reviews of health committee activities.

FUNCTIONS

  1. Maintenance of the health records
  • The committee members maintain the health records of all the students. Every month, periodical health check-up will be conducted and records should be maintained.
  • The health problems are identified and intimated to the Principal immediately. The necessary treatment facilities are arranged to the students in our MGMCRI.
  1. Health screening programme for the students
  • Physical and mental health screening programme for the first year B.Sc. (N) students is conducted for every batch.
  1. Facilities for the students
  • Arrange for good water supply, separate toilet facility for boys and girls and separate dining hall for the students.
  • Arrange all medical facilities for the student at any time.
  1. Sick room facility
  • If students are sick during class hours immediately shift the students to casualty. Later, transfer the students to hospital for treatment.
  • The sick room is available for students in the hostel.
  1. Vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination is administered for the 1styear B.Sc. (N) students free of cost.

RESOLUTION

  1. To monitor regular health check-up for all the students.
  2. In case of any emergency the students would be provided immediate treatment.
  3. Motivating the students for voluntary blood donation.

FUTURE PLAN

  1. Once in every three months Hb investigation can be done for all the students.
  2. Periodic follow-up of students with health related issues.
  3. Screening of mental well-being for students at regular intervals.
  4. Counselling session can be conducted at periodic intervals.
