Campus & Location
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth – Deemed University is located on National Highway 32A, enroute between Pondicherry Town and Cuddalore, in Pillaiyarkuppam of Bahour Commune, Puducherry Union Territory of India. The Main Campus houses four out of six Constituent Colleges of the Deemed University:
- Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute (MGMCRI), and its associated teaching Hospital.
- Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences (IGIDS), and its associated teaching Dental Hospital.
- Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College (KGNC).Â
- School of Pharmacy
The Main Campus also has the Central Inter-disciplinary Research Facility (CIDRF), the Offices of the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar and the Controller of Examinations, and the Central Library on site.Â

Reaching SBV by Road
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth is easily accessible by road from both Pondicherry and Cuddalore. It is approximately 15 Kms away from the Rajiv Gandhi Statue Intersection and 7 Kms from the Post Office Rountana in Cuddalore town.
The road connectivity between Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth and Chennai is very good. The East Coast Road is especially scenic and enjoyable. Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth can also be reached by road from Bengaluru. Â
By Air
Pondicherry has an Airport that has flights connecting to Bengaluru (formerly, Bangalore), Salem and Hyderabad under the Udaan Scheme.Â
The nearest National and International Airports are at Meenambakkam, Chennai, about 164 Kms away with good connectivity to Singapore, Dubai, London, New York, Hong Kong, Melbourne, etc.Â
By Train
The nearest Train Stations are at Pondicherry (PDY) and at Cuddalore – Tiruppadirippuliyur (TDPR) and Cuddalore Port Junction (CUPJ).Â

By Bus
A number of daily bus services including sleepers and luxury coaches connect Pondicherry to most major cities and towns of South India including Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mysore, Trivandrum, etc.Â
