A group of MBBS students participated in Pterion 2017, an academic event held at Coimbatore Government Medical College on 23.08.2017 and 24.08.2017. Dr. Umadevi S, Professor, Department of Microbiology, accompanied the students. The team comprising of Mr. Pratyush R, III MBBS student, Mr. Narendran and Mr. Kavinilavan R, II MBBS students participated in the Quiz competition and won the first prize. Ms. V.Kavitha, III MBBS student presented a case titled “Chronic Osteomyelitis caused by an uncommon pathogen” with the guidance of Dr. Umadevi S, Professor, Department of Microbiology and Dr. Manoharan, Associate Professor, Dept of Orthopedics, MGMCRI and won third prize.
