Department of Biochemistry, MGMCRI organized a webinar through Zoom online platform on the title “COVID 19 VACCINES: THE SCIENCE BEHIND AND CHALLENGES FACED” on 5th November 2020. About 242 have registered out of which 152 participated in the session. The resource persons included Dr. G. Revathy, Dr. Prabhat, Dr. Mohan Raj P.S and Dr. Saket Sinha. The session covered on the basics of vaccine development with reference to COVID 19 virus, the details of the various candidates available for COVID 19 vaccine, the various challenges encountered and expected in the development and distribution of the COVID 19 vaccine and possible ways to handle them and the status of the COVID 19 vaccine trials taking place at present. The participants actively clarified their queries with the speakers and feedback on the content and organization of the program was collected using google form. E-Certificates were mailed to the participants.
